I just happen to browse a notebook where I documented our summer vacation last year...it's a year old already but I find it worth posting still.....
17Apr10, Saturday, 1st Day: Roy, a true friend, offered to fetch us at the airport, terminal 3 of NAIA as we boarded Cebu Pacific. He treated us lunch at Leslie's in Tagaytay. The place we really wanted to include in our list. He made it possible. Kurt's (my 7 yr old son then) wishes was his command. We made short trips to Makati, EDSA-Kamuning, ABS-CBN and GMA. All Kurt's requests. Then headed to our hosts home at Don Antonio Village where he toured us in various local celebrities houses : Angel Locsin, Ara Mina, Albert Martinez, Jolina Magdangal, Rowell Santiago and may others. Then, together with his kids, Bea and Gab, we had dinner at Techno Hub. There we bond and took wonderful souvenir shots. It was Kurt's 1st Starbucks experience with Gab (no Starbucks in Davao :)). Before sending us home, our friend complied with my son's last wish for the day, to visit Pinoy Big Brother House. It was a wonderful start of a 9-day vacation!
18Apr10, Sunday (2nd day) : Spent the whole day at Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna from opening to fireworks closing. No missed rides. Whats great? We were able to hear mass amidts the fun and excitement. Thank God, they have sponsored masses every Sunday. Anchor's Away was one hell of a ride and our most hated. Kurt felt sick with it and vomited. Though all the rest was fun and worth cherishing for.
19Apr10, Monday (3rd Day): Gabriel Luis Fernandez joined us. We went to Ocean Park and maximized the fun tour by experiencing the Fish Spa and Aquarium Boat ride. We all had fun!!! Still full of energy, the four of us went to the Mall of Asia.
20Apr10, Tuesday (4th Day) : Eric, my nephew, took a leave to spend the day with us. Picked us up and went to Powerplant Mall and had lunch at Mongkok. Visited Ate Tess and spent a few hours at the bahay-kubo at the rooftop of their condo. Went to Global City, the Fort, as the last list for the day.
21-22Apr10, Wed-Thurs (5th & 6th day) : Was up at 3 AM for our Baguio Trip. The bus left at 5 AM & travelled the whole morning. Checked-in at Hotel 45 and off we go to start the exploration. Spent more time at PMA for Kurt's satisfaction and pleasure. Tried boat ride at the Burnham Park, walk through Session Road, ate dinner at Razons and retired for the day. The next day, woke up early and covered Camp John Hay, Mines View, the Mansion, Wright Park (where Kurt and Dan enjoyed the horse ride). The Cathedral was our last stop and off we go back to Manila.
23Apr10, Friday (7th day) : A long trip to Tanay but its worth it. We visited my bestfriend, Vernie Rose "Jinggay" Matela who was also my My Maid of Honor, their place, a very wonderful one, a model cogon house with swimming pool. Then went to Shangrila and Megamall. At night, met with Dan's relatives at Starbucks.
24Apr10, Saturday (8th day) : Funny but true, we've included MRT ride on our list for Dan and Kurt's experience. So, we enjoyed a round trip ride from South to North. Took the opportunity to also explore Trinoma and Glorietta.
25Apr10, Sunday (9th day) : Our last day. Went to Greenhills for Sunday church and to buy some pasalubong. My bestfriend Paul (also Kurt's Ninong) drove us to the airport.
The vacation was so exhausting but a wonderful one. An experience worth cherishing for. Relatives and friends, who cares, helped us to make this family bonding a memorable one. Tito Joe and Tita Bing for letting us stay at 4D, Tower 4, Governors Place, Shaw Bldv., Manang Magda for taking care of us everyday. My friends Sir Roy and Paul, for sharing their time and effort. Eric, my nephew, for missing work just to spend time with us. Jinggay, my maid of honor, for a heart warming welcom at their cogon house in Tanay. Vanessa for lending her camera.
We, Dan, Kurt and myself, really had a blastful vacation.
