The Art of War by Sun Tzu, my reflection

Literally, the book tells us about military strategies on how to outwit enemies, how to defeat them and a clear path to claim victory.  Readers will just enjoy  the lines as a mere entertainment to fill idle time until we resign for the day.  A shallow and singly focused understanding of its context.
In a deeper comprehension, The Art of War demonstrates how one can succeed against a foe, an opponent, an enemy by use of cunning and guile, as well as the clever management of available resources.  No different from the corporate and business world.  All struggling, formulating distinct strategies to outsmart others, thinking very carefully about advancements and enhancements and values positioning in the market.

“If you know yourself and your enemy then you can always win, if you know only yourself then you may win or lose, if you know neither yourself nor your enemy then you will most likely lose.” – the most famous paraphrase from the book.  Very simple and basic as it seems but  posed complexity as we apply it to our battle,  brand recognition and Corporate fame.
One has to fully know the corporation and its companies, the management team and their importance in the organization, the workforce and when they are needed, its mission and vision, the nature of trade and business to offer and most specially the competition they are in . These equip and prepare the team to compete and excel.   But as a vital member, the need to continuously nurture them thru trainings and exposure which further stimulates desire to achieve and for the management to acknowledge them of their contributions to its success which would entice them to do and deliver more.

A corporation can’t position at an advantage by hiring an employee nor giving employment to many but by developing a team who can work together for a common goal, capturing the market and become the leading entity.   With concrete direction from a well-versed leader/s,  management support and constant supervision, incessant market awareness and sharing of knowledge, our workforce will never falter nor fear to embrace market changes at any given time.   More so, if the team are on-guard at all times updated and informed on how our competitors are trading in the market arena.  Victory achieved.
